Dave McKenzie

Dave McKenzie received his BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. In his largely performance-based work, he explores the mutability of identity and the difficulty, or impossibility, of communication. His work often uses celebrity, or the notion of a commodified public persona, to investigate the larger concept of the self as performance. His series of four performances All Together Now, which took place in and around the Studio Museum in Harlem, was included as a part of Performa 07. He currently lives and works in New York.
