Davey Adesida

Nigerian born. New York and London based. Davey grew up on a farm next to a rainforest in Lagos. It was very quiet and easy going, which have a lot of free time to explore nature. Davey’s father was big on films, so he spent a lot of time watching old classic foreign films and was surrounded by cassettes and vinyl. This quiet natural life, surrounded by music and films, was instrumental in developing Davey’s eye and aesthetic. In this age of social media and noise, Davey persuades, through his work, people to stop, take a break, a moment to pause and reflect.
