Christina Mesiti

American artist Christina Mesiti uses inside-out envelopes, which reveal the security patterns found within, to create sculptures and installations. Exploring both the materiality of communication and transportation, and the precariousness of security, Mesiti’s work transcends the commonality of the material. 

Mesiti received her MFA from Claremont Graduate University in 2015 after living in Querétaro, Mexico for a year to fulfull a Fulbright scholarship. She currently lives and works in East Los Angeles.
