Barry Anderson

Barry Anderson transforms vintage pop-cultural imagery into looping, meditative video animations and installations. Characterized by intense colors and floating geometric shapes, Anderson's pieces update 1950s-70s aesthetics for a destabilized, digital present. They have been seen in international fairs and festivals of new-media art from Bangkok to Dubai. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Anderson has had solo exhibitions at institutions including the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York and the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Overland Park, Kansas.
