Andreas Fogarasi
Andreas Fogarasi (Vienna, Austria, 1977) lives and works in Vienna. The artist uses forms of display that are reminiscent of minimalism and conceptual art to explore questions of space and representation. Being situated between a documentary and a sculptural practice, his works critically analyze the aestheticization and economization of urban space and the role of architecture and the cultural field in contemporary society. His work was shown in numerous international institutions as Museo Tamayo, Mexico City; MUMOK, Vienna; Times Museum, Guangzhou; Kunsthaus Graz; New Museum, New York; Kunstverein Düsseldorf; Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb; CAC, Vilnius; Ludwig Museum, Budapest; Fondazione Fotografia Modena; Palais de Tokyo, Paris.
