Alice Anderson

Alice Anderson's first monograph exhibition ‘Rituals', took place in 2011 at the Freud Museum, London. Inspired by the digital evolution she began to question the memorization and recording processes of physical objects and spaces from our contemporary life. It was during the course of this research in her studio that the artist developed a unique weaving technique around objects with copper wire initially taken from a bobbin inside an alarm clock. Her work is associated with Post Digital.

Anderson studied at the École National Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris with Christian Boltanski and Jean-Marc Bustamante and at Goldsmiths College London. Her work and performances have been shown at the Whitechapel Art Gallery London, the 55th Venice Biennale, the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton Paris, the Wellcome Collection London, The Saatchi Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts London.
