Louise Despont

Louise Despont earned her BA in art semiotics from Brown University and currently lives in New York. She makes drawings on the pages of antique ledger books, as well as stop - motion animation films where her vocabulary of pattern, symbol, and symmetry is taken apart and reassembled. According to the artist, both bodies of work are about “the passage of time and the possibility of the imperfect becoming whole through series.”
