Damien Roach

Damien Roach graduated with a MA in painting from the Royal College of Art, London, where he lives and works. He incorporates video, painting, sculpture, installation, and audio into his artworks, which are often made using mundane found objects. His work has explored the idea of escape through altered perception, as in Eidolon(2005), in which the tea stains on an overturned table become palm trees, or Kaleidoscope (2004), in which he painted old pieces of plywood or old chairs and then etched delicate landscapes onto their surfaces.
