Christian Ertel

Christian Ertel is an installation artist living in Karlsruhe. Fluorescent light tubes, Styrofoam, and gaffer tape are among the industrial materials that he assembles and disassembles in his melancholy environments. Works often feature traces of the organic, such as skulls, dissected butterfly wings, or elements of motorized action, including a Black Sabbath album spinning on a record player.
