Brendan Murphy’s work is a consistent cultivation of beauty through creativity, spirit and love - is a fusion of dynamic experiences and color comprehension, juxtaposed with geometry, script, formulas, iconography, and sensual female silhouettes. This divine equation delivers a unique synthesis of energy and character with each creation. His work and exhibitions exude awareness as well as fantasy and are consistently rich in genuine emotion. A largely self-taught painter who learned under controversial world-class artist Eric Fischl, Brendan Murphy has held exhibits all over the world and has works in over 500 private and public art collections. He has been painting professionally for over 10 years.
Brendan’s works are mostly large format canvas: blending gouache, oil, and acrylic paint to create floating backgrounds, moving pieces, and a push/pull multi-dimensional visual experience. Brendan uses women as a subject, symbols from nature, and/or a combination of abstract dots and patterns to tell the story of an emotional journey. All of his paintings, works on paper, and installations feature a dynamic color palette and a refreshing interpretation of our social landscape. “I have a real language to my paintings and a great understanding of the history of art.”

Divulging his artistic approach and methodology, Brendan, in visionary mode explains, “The complexities of emotion, the dynamics of making relationships work, and the dutiful need to bring people back to genuine feelings and emotion - rather than distraction and detachment - are what most inspire me.”
Brendan has shown his works all over the world, including solo shows in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Calgary, Houston, and Buenos Aires.
