You may have seen Prince Rama at their MoMA PS1: Warm Up performance this summer (remember summer?). The always entertaining sister act will share the stage with the synthpop group Chromatics, whose recent album, Kill For Love, is shortlisted on a number of “Best of 2012” lists.
“Art Film” screening of “Painters Painting” and panel discussion at Colony Theater, 1040 Lincoln Road, 8 p.m.
There might not be a much better way to wind down after a busy day at art fairs than with the 1972 documentary film “Painters Painting,” which provides a behind the scenes look at the New York art scene from 1940-1970, and a glimpse at the lives and working methods of some of the most prominent artists at the time (or ever). The screening, which will be followed by a panel discussion from some of the film’s key creators, is free to the public, but seating is limited, so arrive early.
