An Elite Art Crowd Joined Maria Baibakova and Artspace to Fete Lincoln Center in Miami

Last night an elite circle of the international art world's power players gathered at the Miami Beach residence of Baibakov Art Projects founder Maria Baibakova to celebrate the release of a new print by Matthew Brannon, sold through Artspace, to benefit Lincoln Center. As the latest in the New York arts organization's storied series of contemporary art prints, the artwork was unveiled by Baibakova, together with the artist and Lincoln Center president Reynold Levy, against the backdrop of Baibakova's stunning private art collection—a museum-quality selection of work, tastefully installed around the residence, by artists like Nate Lowman, Allora & Calzadilla, Andreas Gursky, Franz West, Richard Prince, and Ashley Bickerton.

The lively evening was electrified with conversation as art professionals from around the world mingled and discussed the week's fairs. Among those present were the art dealers Barbara Gladsone, Lehmann Maupin's Rachel Lehmann, David Kordansky, Thaddaeus Ropac, Casey Kaplan, and Gagosian's Sam Orlofsky; Los Angeles MOCA director Jeffrey Deitch; Whitney curator Scott Rothkopf, recently promoted to associate director of programs at the museum; Performa founder RoseLee Goldberg; Artforum publisher Knight Landesman; the Art Production Fund's Doreen Remen and Casey Fremont Crowe; Baibakova Art Projects curator Kate Sutton; the Armory Show's Allison Rodman; Phillips de Pury contemporary art specialist Benjamin Godsill; collector Richard Chang; and Artspace's own Catherine Levene, Chris Vroom, Adam Fields, Andrew M.
